I am using RipBot264 to encode some of my Blu-Ray movies but when I play them back some of the writing that is in the movie won't be in English, I thought it may have been the movie but when I played it in my PS3 the movie was in complete English. I have a couple of screenshots that may be able to help you understand the problem. If you need any more information please feel free to ask. Many thanks for all the help on this matter.
Andy.

Select another stream? You can try demux the streams with clown_bd and listen....and maybe add it to the already made mkv with mkvmergegui also.
But this is not any blu-ray authoring. Moving you our blu-ray ripping section. -
This keeps happening to me with the original Toy Story, but only for the main titles and opening credits. I can open the .m2ts in VLC and it will show me English, but no matter what stream/file options I select in ripbot it always converts with French titles. All of the audio is English, all of the in-movie text (Lightyear, Pizza Planet, etc.) is in English, the credits are English, but the title of the movie is Histoire de Jouets and edwin catmull/steve jobs are the producteurs executifs.
Grr. If anyone's found a way around this... aidez-moi! =P -
I managed to fix the problem, you can pick any stream but on the Blu-Ray disc look into the playlist folder and find the playlist that has english writing in it, might take a while but its there. Once you find the playlist remember the playlist number and then pick that play list from the drop down selection on the second screen where it says playlist. Its a bit hard to explain but what happens is that the film is split up on the disc so that certain scenes such as where Buzz finds out he's a toy and on the tv it says 'Not a flying toy' are on there more than once but in different languages. Hope this helps. I might make a Youtube video for this.

OK, I think I found a solution. It worked for the mp4 file I accidentally created (facepalm) and the .mkv is converting right now. If you download bd-info and open the blu-ray in there, it will analyze and show you several different playlists. In the case of Toy Story, the 3 big ones are 00337.mpls, 00338.mpls, and 00150.mpls.
The first .m2ts file in each of those is identical, so we can skip it. The second file is different in all three, and this happens to be where the different titles are. If you open these files in VLC, it will show you the French, Dutch(?) and English titles. Find the one in English, and note which playlist it falls into.
So, in RipBot264, you select the largest .m2ts file like before. On the 2nd screen, the Playlist drop-down should have options. Select the playlist you noted earlier, and it SHOULD work. I will update this post once the render is complete, if it does not.
Edit: For Toy Story 3, it appears you want 00800.mpls or 00803.mpls. not sure which yet, I haven't gone that deep.
Edit 2: HAH! I'm an idiot. I didn't see that the OP also posted a solution. Hopefully bd-info can help too.Last edited by CAE2685; 1st Apr 2011 at 13:31.

I run BD rips like that through tsMuxeR GUI, then just save out the main movie and the preferred language, no subs, then use that file in RipBot. Some RipBot BD conversions also default to the directors commentary video file, so this method works for that also. This only takes a few minutes. BDInfo is also useful to find the main movie.
