    Hello everyone.

    I have been trying for months now to download a stream from livestream or jw player. I tried IDM, many link grabbers programs, online grabbers, tried to find the, StreamTransport, livestreamer (i saw in a post here) once i did download but just could get a part of it cuz the event ended before i could download it all and my internet didnt help either i tried again the same things and i got an error. The one that really got closer to download a video was VideoCacheView, but then when i watched it the sound continued and video stopped and other times couldnt find the file to download. So i come here with my (desperate) need for help.

    The kind of i try to download is like this one:

    it happens at 2pm till 5 pm and 7pm till 10pm

    So I usually record with camtasia, but i really rather download instead of recording cuz it gets a part of my screen and i cant do much and it takes half of my day/night (i tried virtual machine also) but internet fails many times, so i lose part of it sometimes and editing this losses on camtasia later is something to cry about.

    Any tips or programs about downloading it, tutorials, ANYTHING, i'm very gratful for anyhelp and thank you for reading.

    Here below what I have been able to find .
    Copy the lines below in notepad , save it as 'livestream.xml' and open it with firefox .

    @aazerty i did it all opened with firefox and tried to find somethin alike in the sites code but i didnt, could you explain me more?

    @bizeom i couldnt get it what version are you using? i tried with 1.12.0 but i got the same error (error: No streams found on this URL: http://livestream.com/accounts/8447104/events/3986629) then i downloaded the 1.12.1 and i cant make it work, i thought i got the error because of the version but i'm not sure about it.

    hi the last Nightly build
    the last development version

    but you need use this version in static mode

    go in the folder in my exemple C:\livestreamer-v1.12.1-18-g6060865

    From aazerty's XML code I pasted the httpBase string and one of the src strings together to make a full url. But it doesn't download the real video, only a placeholder. Biezom's livestream command line got the real stream.

    is there other way to get the video even when the stream is over? btw thank you all!!

    You have to go on the site and see if exist "replay" .
    If you find something we could try to help you . Not sure for the result .

    Maybe it's the end of the streaming of the day (???) .

    I think your bandwidth is not sufficient to download the best quality (720p). so try 432p

    @aazerty it wasnt finished i press retry but nothin happens "video could not load or timed out. Try again to play"

    @biezom ye, terrible bandwidth ;/ is there a way to download after the video is finished?

    Daaaamn, how do you get this info? I read a bunch of posts I would have never guessed to use this syntax... I guess I can use the same format for all the videos, just replace the video number.

    Wow, seem easy. Any way to capture a "live" stream? http://livestream.com/idbfchampionships/events/4242446

    I dl Firefox and installed that addon, but on the actual live stream I can't find the f4m, all I find is this:
