Smooth Subtitle

Hi
I have a subtitle in Persian language.
I convert SRT subtitle to SUB IDX with txt to sub software.
But the result subtitle is not smooth.
when i watch movie with SRT subtitle the subtitle is smooth but with SUB/IDX the result is not good.
Please tell me a way that i can make subtitle in SUB/IDX format with smooth edge subtitle.

IDX/SUB tends to be "pixelated" especially in SD - not so much in HD. Did you use anti-aliasing?

Have you considered hardcoding? And why IDX/SUB? You appearently can play the SRT. Could you use PGS if it has to be image based?

I use SUB\IDX because persian language is problem in palying in palyer.
Most of the player can not play SRT subtitle in persian language.
And most of them can not use best persian fonts.

Okay. The sure solution would be to hardcode the subtitles. They'll be smooth as with SRT and can be used in all players. There will be a minor loss in video quality but try encoding a couple of minutes and see if you find it noticable

You could use Vidcoder. Save your SRT as UTF-8 - see post #32. You select to encode a couple of minutes in the top of the Vidcoder window.

For sample, I add a MKV video but its try to encode it to MP4

You can select MKV as well .. but it take just as long time.

I found this manual. According to it (page 18) it should support UTF-8 SRT? Anyway, it also says it supports ASS. Did you try that?

but first try save and play ASS type files as videobruger suggest

How i can set subtitle create default independent of video size?

Export with video size to 1080p and Border style to 3
Check on you player with different size of videos
