  1. I have all of my original CCE *.VAF files from a previous encoding section.

I need to reduce the size of my mpg files and understand that I need to lower the average bitrate.

How do I utilize the VAF files that I have already created to make a new mpv file without having to wait for a 3 pass VBR session on 3 divx avis?

Step by step would be helpful if someone can provide assistance.

    Thanks,

    Corky

PS I am not sure if I have the ecl files still, I may have overwritten them as I did each individual AVI. So will this matter??

SEE THIS http://forum.vcdhelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=86587 for specific info on the situation. TIA

If the .mpv and the .vaf have the same filenames, CCE will use the .vaf instead of writing a new one. But note, do not change too much. The source file must be the same. Framerate and other general settings must be the same. All what you can do is a slight bitrate modification. If you used e.g. CBR8000 for the first pass and want to change it to VBR4000 avg, you better write a new .vaf.
