  1. When I click Full Screen it doesn't work now. I always use D3D Full Screen to get rid of all the choppiness, and now it doesn't work anymore. I'm not sure if the newest KLCP update has to do with it, but it asked me to uninstall a lot of things because they could cause problems in the future. I'm not sure what it uninstalled as I didn't really pay attention, but now I'm unable to watch anything in D3D Full Screen. I'm on an XP computer, but I don't see how that would effect anything, I have been using this PC since 2008, and have no problems since then until now. One of the programs I do remember it uninstalling was X Codec Pack. I just reinstalled it as i'm typing this, so it wasn't that particular program that caused the problem. I really hate to roll back, I heard they fixed audio issues in the latest update.

    Doesn't work how? Just black?

And try avoid use several codec packs. Lav filters should be enough for most stuff.

And I'm moving you to our software playing section.

  3. No black screen. Just stays on desktop. The audio still plays and when I press escape, it acts as if I exited Full Screen. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and nothing works. I even reinstalled DirectX and still nothing. Everything worked fine until I updated everything. Even trying previous versions doesn't work.

I guess other output renderers work in full screen?

But it could be some filter/renderer that has dropped XP support. Maybe try use an old version of x codec pack.

K-lite Codec Pack solve your problem.

  6. Rolling back to MPC-HC.1.7.8 seemed to fix it. Which is 2 versions ago.

  7. There doesn't seem to be any desire to keep MPC-HC playing nice with XP anymore, which I think is a pity. There's probably an abundance of XP PCs out there in semi retirement, dedicated to something fairly specific such as playing video. I checked, and D3D fullscreen doesn't work on my XP PC either. The EVR renderer is also no longer a choice for XP users, I discovered today. The two are possibly related in some way, given EVR support apparently ended with version 1.7.8.
