Avi-->Mpg sync problems

when i convert avi to mpg , i get sync problems, the audio is off with the video by about 3 or 4 seconds any ideas? i've tried vitualdub, still no luck

how are you converting(CCE, TMPG)? you tried virtualdub...to do what exactly?

try this:
1) VDub: save wav
2) avi-->.mpv (no audio)
3) wav-->.mpa
4) multiplex

i used tmpg, what prog i need for step 3 on your list? i got the steps before that done

if you're using TMPG, change your audio source from the .avi to the .wav you extracted earlier--I personally would recommend an external audio encoder(I use toolame)--set that under environmental options/external tool(first option)
