Hi
in another question on these forms I asked why when I transcode TV recordings from my computer tuner, recorded with Windows media player, the transcode files were out of of lip-synch. I was told that most transcoding programs do not take advantage of the included timecode mechanism embedded in an mpg2 recordings designed to keep video and audio in sync even when there are some dropped video frames. It was then recommended to me that I might consider using "VideoReDoTVSuite4" or some very complex methods of realigning video and audio with some free programs available at provided links. The free program method is too complicated for me. But using a trial version of "VideoReDoTVSuite4" I find I do not have adequate processing power to transcode with that program easily. I can use the "VideoReDoTVSuite4" program effectively to edit it in the native OTA codec recording back to a edited version native OTA codec of the recording without transcoding however. I do have enough processing power to accomplish that.

My question is this can I get around my limited processing power and transcode with lip-synch accuracy by using a program such as VLC or another free or commercial media player with a record button? If so which media player program would you suggest I use to accomplish this? I am most interested in editing music singing programs presented on television down to justice singing and not the clapping and the rest of it. Therefore if I can do this with the least processing possible of the audio or highest quality possible that would be most beneficial.
