    Hi,

    I have been searching the web for information but cannot find anything on the subject.
    Does anyone know if it is possible to create reference MXF files, similar to Quicktime reference MOVs that can be created from FCP. I need to generate an MXF header that can link together separate essence files, M2V + multiple WAV audio files.

    Also can you recommend software that can create these reference header files.

    By definition, mxf is always self-contained. You may be looking for something like aaf.
