Hello, I need help in making a videoclip. I am trying to make a music video. I have 5 different videos and I would like to combine all 5 into one scene, with each of the member in each separate video. I'd just wanna make it simple. The video would look like a cake cut into 5 squares, if you know what I mean.
I can't live without my computer.

  2. I think the simplest way to do this is with a non-linear video editor, to stack the 5 clips on the timeline, then resize and/or crop each of them and change their location on the frame.

What is the name of the video editor?

I would recommend using a non-linear video editor that has support for the type of camera that you use, so that you can just import the clips from the camera, and start editing. If you are not already using a non-linear video editor, you can try, for example, Sony Vegas, and install the trial, to see if it works well with the clips from the camera or cameras that you use. There are two free non-linear video editors, OpenShot and Cinellera, but I don't know if OpenShot can combine 5 clips into one scene, and I don't know if Cinellera can import from your camera or cameras.

  6. Yes, Cinelerra. Or, more specifically, CinelerraCV, the Community Version, because it's much easier to install than Cinelerra from Heroine Virtual.

I do, but I still can't open it. Is there any other freeware that can combine several clips into one screen?

That's because cinelerra (and also openshot), while very good, is a linux program. You can't open a llinux tar file in windows.

I've done it many times too. 7-zip can open them and extract the contents.

Man, that LightWorks home page really pops and sells the sizzle. I'm gonna download and try it again.
