how to combine an 2disc blueray version in an single file???

for example lord of the rings, two disc version is availabe on net with half the movie in one disc and the other half in second disc with menus and extras, i just wanna ask that is thier any software through which i could combine the files and create an single movie and what about menus and extras, cant i create an single folder which could play whole movie with menus instead of playing it on seprate discs??

You could try use makemkv to extract the main movies to mkv files and then join the mkvs with mkvmergegui.


I haven't seen any simple method to join and keep menus,etc.

why did yu said mkv files, cant i join the .m2ts files and make an single movie or would i have convert to in mkv, basically i would prefer .msts files

You could then use tsmuxer. You might have to use bdinfo to check what playlist is the main movie and then open it the in tsmuxer. Then join. And save as a new m2ts.

thanks for the help, but if you dont mind could yu explain in detail about muxing an creating an new m2ts file with ts muxer and bdinfo as i didnt got you.
i have downloaded an bd disc of sherlock holmes in which the movie is splitted in various parts, how to join them into single m2ts and would same go for the lord of the rings

thanks mate, but the title says conversion of blueray to mkv, i wanna join m2ts files to create to an m2ts file not an mkv. would this do the same

BUT you will get an idea how to work with tsmuxer.

Use the JOIN button to load the second m2ts.

ok now suppose i have an 2disc version of lord of the rings with 2 seprate bdmv folder containing half-half of movie, now how to deal with that, means how to create an single file and please explain clearly as i badly need it
