  1. I have a movie that I want to put on a DVD. It is a .mov file 1080p (Apple ProRes 422) and it's 1 hour long, 61 GB. Can someone tell me the steps I need to take to get it to where I can burn it to a home playable DVD? I am trying to stay away from Blu-Ray because a lot of people that will be buying the DVD don't have Blu-Ray.
I've read numerous articles, but I can find a solution specific to the size of the movie I'm working with. Thanks!

You know, don't you, that it will no longer be hi-def once converted to DVD? It'll be the same standard-def resolution (720x480) as all the rest?

What's the size of the movie have to do with anything? Nothing.

    Try AVS2DVD.

Note that the OP is using a Mac/OS X, though. AVStoDVD probably won't be of much help.

Maybe iMovie would be able to do it, though I don't use my Mac much for video work, so I won't be of much help.

Edit: redsfan2276, since you're looking to sell the end result, are you sure you can't just take the video to a professional service/presser?
If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

  4. Right, if on a Mac then AVS2DVD won't do it. Thanks.
