I have religiously followed the instructions to hack our HTE6750W but having pressed REPEAT 76884 cannot get it to display the current region so we can change it. Interestingly, when we look under "settings" then "network" then "device name"it says (HTS)E6730 even though the data plate on the back says it is a 6750. We are definitely using the right code for our region. Can anyone assist please?

If no one has a specific suggestion, contact Samsung's Australian support office and ask them to help you to unlock it. We've had several reports, some within the past few weeks, that people in Australia and New Zealand can get the local support office for various DVD and BluRay player manufacturers to unlock their players for them because the law there mandates that DVD players must be able to be unlocked.

Other readers, please note that outside of Australia and New Zealand, Sony and Samsung both make players that usually can't be unlocked.

Finally, note that even if you get it unlocked, it will just be for DVD playback. Your law does not require that the manufacturers provide you with region free capability for BluRay.
