  1. Hi,

I've searched, but didn't find an answer: How do you burn subtitles to an .avi when you have only a .sub file? Several recent downloads
have the .sub file but no .idx. I've found Windows media player will use it ok, but Plex media service doesn't. I put all my movies on a file server and play with Plex Media Server thru a Roku box.

    Thanks,
    Joe

  2. If it's really half of a VobSub and is missing its IDX, you're out of luck I think. If it's the text-based SUB (you can open it in Notepad and read it), at worst you'll have to convert it to another text-based format such as SRT.

Maybe look for replacement subs at a subtitles site?

  3. Ok found that vobsub program is supposed to change it from the microdvd sub to an srt, but it's way out of sync???

  4. OOps! Didn't real ALL of the docs. When the frame rate was adjusted, the srt file seems to be in sync.
