    Occasionally when I open a subtitle file in Easy Subtitle Synchroniser a dialogue box will pop up asking me to select the file rate. What speed should I select for NTSC (23.976, 24, or 29.976) and what should I select for PAL?

    Depends on the source file. Open the video in GSpot and see what the frame rate is.
