    Hi all,

    I merged a subtitle (.srt) to a mkv video using MKVMerge. And when I play the video on Media Classic Player there is no subtitle background, but when I play it on a LG blu-ray player (BX580), there is a background on the subtitle. I show an example on the attachment. I would like to know how i can get rid of the subtitle background. Thanks.

    It is a setting in your player. SRT subtitles are plain text with, with basically no presentation instructions. If your bluray player is putting a background behind them then it is a feature peculiar to your player, and has nothing to do with the mkv file. You will have to look up subtitles in your player manual and find out how to turn it off.
