    Hi,
    I am using latest tmpgenc and tried to convert avi to vcd/pal
    It worked several times before until I got this message:
    Illegal floating decimal point calculation order

    this messages shows up on different times. e.g. after 5% progress
    or 53% progress. It is not the same position.

    any ideas?

    I'm having the same problem with a AVI I downloaded from the newsgroup. The AVI file I have is corrupted in one section which cause TMPGEnc to crash. Try playing your AVI at the spot where the program crashes.

    Try playing the file in Virtualdub and see if you get an error message anywhere. If you do, then it's probably a freeze frame at that spot. Look for a program called DivX antifreeze (not the player plugin, the program) which will fix these freeze frames.
