  1. I'm an old fan of K-Lite codec pack, I began to use it right after the development of Codec Pack All in 1 is stopped.

Now I have a problem with the last version (8.8), for the first time, during installation it asks to remove the AC3 Filter because it contains something equal or better (Y or N).

If I answer Yes or No, after installation the AC3 audio of my DIVX plus Player stops working and the DIVX plus Converter stops working with an error code (usually after 1st pass).

I had similar problem when AC3 codec was not installed.

Is there a special steps that I have to take during installation for preventing this problem?

Everything else is working fine. I have the AAC ACM Codec 1.8 and AC-3 ACM Codec 2.1 installed. For sure the problem is from the new K-Lite because when I uninstall K-Lite and reinstall AC3 filter the problem disappear even if I reinstall older version of K-Lite (K-Lite 8.7).

Please don't tell me to stuck with older version because I'm very curious to know the reason of the problem.

    Many Thanks in advance.
    Regards,

This kind of stupidity happen when installing new codecs after a lot of (Vodka + Red Bull), Cheers.

Problem is resolved by selecting AC3 Filter as the default filter during installation.
