I had uninstalled Real Player (latest version) because I want to switch to Real Alternative.

I have problem installing Real Alternative Lite 2.02.

Please look at the following screenshot.

RealMedia core components and the browser plugins cannot be checked.

    How to solve this problem?

I DO NOT want to reinstall RealPlayer, and DO NOT want to reinstall Windows.

I had tried restarting the computer. But, the problem still exist.

  4. Have you actually tried to install it with those settings? I mean, it says it's going to take up 2.5 MB yet you clearly have less than 1 MB of stuff checked.

The problem is that I cannot select the RealMedia core components. I tried to continue the installation, the player on my computer still not be able to play the files.

I am using Media Player Classic Home Cinema beta version.

I suspect Real Player didn't completely uninstall and the remains may be blocking the new version. RP was notorious in the past for doing an invasive install and trying to take over playback of all formats. It may come down to digging through the registry with Regedit to remove the remnants of RP.

If you venture into the registry, BACK IT UP FIRST. Do a registry search for ' real ' and see what it finds.

You might try this article for uninstall information: http://www.joemanna.com/blog/how-to-uninstall-realplayer/
