Well, I've trying to burn a couple of MkV files into one BD-R 25GB for my personal use.

But i've got this problem... after burn the disc with 13 MKV files, from the 05 'till the 13 everything works fine in my BD player, but the first 04 files wont run and i'm trying to fix this problem without success so far.

I've tried to change the IDC profile, it's a thing that i realize was different between the first 04 files and the others 09 files.

    So, from the file 05 till the file 13 = IDC H.264 = 4.0

And now from the 01 till the 04 (Changed for the same profile). [[ORIGINAL 5.0]] [[[NOW 4.0]]]

But it didn't fixed the problem and i lost 2 DVD9 already trying to play it on my BD player.

I'd like to ask for help here to check the difference in this image linked below, so maybe i can try something else.

    Thanks in advance

  2. 16 reference frames will cause problems with most hardware players

Usually it has to be re-encoded

What do you suggest to re-encode the video?

    x264

You can use a gui like ripbot264, megui, xvid4psp, many others....

Use a blu-ray compliant profile to encode if you want to ensure compatibility

Those programs will keep the quality and the file size?

  6. When you re-encode you will probably change quality slightly.(depending on your encoding settings) .. and file sizes will definitely change ....

    Nope

Quality will always decrease with lossy formats when you re-encode, so it's better to start with the original source, rather than the mkv

Filesize = bitrate x running time , so you can make it whatever size you want. The larger the bitrate for a given set of encoding settings, the less quality lost

Thanks for the info teodz1984, atm i'm just checking what RIPBOT does with my MKV file now... gonna wait a while before download the original source to re-encode the file without loss quality.
