  1. I just burned a set of home video clips (mp4 files) on a 2x Verbatim BD-RE disc.
I used ASUS BW-12B1ST and Cyberlink power2go for the task.
The disc is burned as a data disc with UDF file system.
My samsung BD-C6900 player just cannot load the disc even though BD-RE disk is list on samsung website's spec.

Forgot to add that the data disc can be accessed fine on the desktop from the burner, so it was burned successfully.

    Does anyone have any insight?

    Thanks

Which UDF file system did you use? I do not recommend anything above 2.50.

BD data disc file play may not be supported so the problem may not be the disc but the fact that it's not BluRay format.

My Momitsu BluRay player refuses to play anything on my Sony BD-RE disc and I suspect that it just doesn't like BD-RE discs. I just last night bought a cheap Verbatim BD-RE disc but I haven't tested it yet. I can't rule out the possibility that BD-RE discs are just different enough from BD-R that some players may simply have problems with them.

The specs say nothing about the unit being able to play DATA files burned to a BD-RE disc.
