  1. hi guys,
just burned my first vcd with winoncd 5.0. I have converted the divx encoded avi with tmpgenc 2.53, as shown in the author section. When running the cd on my pioneer 440 some of the clips show artefacts and sometimes the movie stops for a second and the sound makes some noise like standing on a cats tail  .
So what could be wrong ?

many thanx for your help in advance

It could be your DVD player. My sony plays VCD's great, but my apex sucks. My apex has the same symptoms as yours. Or it could be going from dvix to vcd. divx is a much more compressed video and audio then vcd. Therefore, when a divx is created it looses alot of information (just like when you convert a CD-music to mp3).

  3. thanx for answer,

but it must be WinonCD 5.0, since the same mpeg files will work fine, when I create the VCD with Nero 5.5.
I think its not the player, WinonCD 5 VCD-Player shows the same artefakts

If anyone knows whats wrong with winoncd, pls let me know
