Hi!
I have a bad JVC DR-MH30. I recoverd many files from its harddisk with PhotoRec (http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec). The file-system of this recorder is unknown as far as I know (I searched a lot on the www, but did not find anything about it). PhotoRec found many MPG structures and recovered it. When playing these recoverd files with MediaPlayClassic, I get a lot of artefacts - I have copied the frist 2MB of one file as an exmaple: http://www.mediafire.com/file/fn1zuaxemdj/Test.mpg
Could it be a problem by the codec used by that recording device? Any suggestions?
Regards,
Gottfried

Large video files can be near-impossible to recover with software. If it's important, send it in to Ontrack.
This is also data recovery, not video restoration. not the same thing.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

I moved this thread to computers because its just data recovery and errors due to it,nothing to do with video restoring.
I think,therefore i am a hamster.
