Just buy or rent the movie if you want all features.

Most of the "extras" are just filler for the DVD - extra crap to justify a dual layer pressing.

With downloaded movies (and I'm assuming you mean those from Netflix and Amazon), the extras would consume too much bandwidth to justify streaming.

Not amazon , i mean the movie which uploaders ( like Axxo ) upload on the net . where do these " features ,or rather, extras come from ? the company ( or director ) put these features on the dvd disc ?and if so , why there isnt any movie with these special features ( DVD Menu ) on the net for downloading ?

Let me get this straight. You're asking why internet movie pirates, who are illegally uploading movie content, aren't going the extra criminal mile to upload the menu and additional DVD content?

    Is that what you're asking?

you can surf the internet and download pirated movies, but can't purchase from online retailers to ship to Iran? I lived in Tehran many years ago and had lots of stuff delivered from the USA and Europe.....just buy the darn films...your stealing from some of us who work hard to provide content to view

Because it's difficult to multicast the bandwidth allotment without an rsync of the firewall relay. The aberration delay between the MSK-IX and the NIXI twisted bundle of OC-3 presents a problem whereas the uploader would need to reverse the polarity of the neutron flow, in order to realign the sector for the positrons found in uploading VBR bitrate MPEG-2 as H.264 AVI MKV. Dolby also has a Macrovision AI module that will concatenate and reverse hash deprecated bonus features, thereby null routing the DDOS packet to a DNSBL.

    Simple, really.

Well stated. Couldn't have said it better myself. Hope that sufficiently answers the OP's question.

But surely there's an app for that ?

  12. Generally the retail DVDs are dual layer and the pirated ones are single layer sized. To keep the movie at decent quality for the smaller sized disc the extras, previews, trailers and other stuff is removed. The ones I've seen do have menus, but maybe you're getting yours from somewhere else.

    There is no technical reason.
You can find complete images of DVDs, as ISO files.
And those will be 5 or 10 GB, as opposed to less than 1 GB for the Axxo-style rip of the main feature as an AVI file.

Really though most extras are not worth the trouble to watch, let alone download.

Ditto, I feel that movies are over priced but that's another discussion. But if everyone were to download a pirated copy Hollywood would have no need to make DVDs in the first place.

I buy DVDs from other countries all the time, I hate waiting for a US release of a film. It can be years before a US version of a film is released if ever.
