looking for a program that allows you to create titles like this (program in question is cinema 4-d) but trial is up and i don't have the money for a license but anyway
here is an example of the type of thing i'm looking to create

Basically, you can break that down into individual components and get the same results using everyday tools.
Your objects are extruded in one plane only, and don't rotate, so you can use a vector drawing program like CorelDraw or Adobe Illustrator.
You can fake the lighting too, but I would recommend a cheapy 3D program like Aurora Animation Maker because it's much easier.
