  1. I use Yamb to change (fast) AVI to MP4 to play on a Sony Bravia TV (usb). But there is only video without audio on TV, because Yamp creates MP4 with audio MPEG-1 layer 3 (MP3), and the tv only accepts MP4 with AAC audio.
I try with XviD4PSP and Avidemux but they do the same

    Any solution?
    Thanks.

  2. In Xvid4Psp set Video Encoding to Copy.

  3. AVI to MP4 (with AAC audio, not MPEG-1 layer 3)
    Yamb? XviD4PSP? Avidemux?

  4. is your concern the speed of the conversion? or is it not working at all ?

yamb just copies the video & audio into mp4 container, that's why it's so fast. There is no re-encoding being done.

you are requesting to re-encode the audio, that's why it's slower . Make sure you set video to "copy", audio to "aac" (in xvid4psp or avidemux) , otherwise you will re-encode the video along with the audio ( a lot slower)

if your listed specs are correct (p4), then the only way you can significantly increase the speed is upgrade your hardware

  6. If the video codec is acceptable to your TV then all you have to do is convert the audio. That should only take about five minutes with Xvid4Psp.

If you have to convert the video too it will take much longer. You can greatly speed that up by using a fast preset in your conversion:

The Veryfast preset for x264 shown here is several times faster than the default presets. You can go even faster with Superfast and Ultrafast.
