use the search box on this site for "dvd to mkv". plenty of info and tools. vidcoder and fairusewizard maybe. but at 400mb quality is going to be low no matter what you use.

Bro, I like to do Net (download) quality ripping in low file size.

Now I use FairUse, But its file size & Resolution auto adjusted to each other.

If I set file size bellow 700mb, its resolution adjusted automatically to short.

I just want to rip DVD movie in download quality & size...................

You can see the movie quality in which I mean

iqbal88 - You can't actually "rip a DVD into an MKV file". It's 2 steps. The first is ripping - getting the movie off the DVD. The 2nd step is converting to MKV or whatever. We have been known at times to be unkind to newbies who ask about ripping to various formats when such is actually impossible as it's a 2 step process - rip then convert. I'd encourage you in the future to use the correct terminology.

As aedipuss points out 400 MB or less is not going to result in anything that most of us would consider to be "maximum quality" but perhaps you are not very fussy and such is OK for your needs. Maybe you would find Handbrake to be useful, but I've heard reports that it may not behave correctly when asked to produce files as small as what you are looking at.

Hard drives are cheap. I don't know where you live but in most developed countries it's pretty foolish to worry about disk space when you can just buy another drive.

if they are retail dvds you will need to use anydvd or similar to decrypt. then i'd suggest trying vidcoder. fairly easy to use and set to your desired file size.

ThanX My Bro adipuss & Jman98 for both your kind suggestion.

But till now I m in a ambiguous atmosphere.

I have not yet get my Question ans properly

I Just want to rip Net Quality [Maximum] Movie in low size (350mb to 450mb) to upload

Now I use FairUse, It work good & so easy. But its file size & Resolution auto adjusted to each other.

If I set file size bellow 700mb, its resolution adjusted automatically to short range of pixel.

n.b: FairUse handle mkv in tough way, & processing in too much time consuming

If you have the dvd ripped and on the hard drive (or have it decrypted with AnyDVD in the background), you can use Handbrake and convert to H264 video in an mkv container at 400mb size.

Start Handbrake, set output container to MKV, click on the Video tab and set Quality to Target Size, set target as 400mb. Put a check mark in 2 pass encoding box. If you want AAC audio, it will convert to that in default settings. If you want something else, click on the Audio tab and set it to whatever you need.

Its not too hard. Don't know if you'll like the quality of the output however. It should be similar to xvid at 700mb.

Yes your question has already been answered properly.. There is no such thing as "net quality" and converting a complete DVD(movie) takes a long time......"bro".

I agree with u bro "ripping takes a long time" there is no controversy with u.

But my question is here "How I can rip DVD or BLUE-Ray movie in net means download quality. i.e which movie we can download from internet like as various forum or from torrents?"

I like to do just that.

you can check-out a movie download site and their movie Quality & of course size is a matter.

& another think you should mind that, "to upload a movie file on internet file size is a big concern"

    Link

I think I could tell you what is my wish.

And Thank You Bro for your nice remarks

Bro, I Just want to rip like as 'which movie we can download from internet'

These movies are not in bad quality rather than maximum quality with low file size.

    It's awesome......!!!

And Thanx for your nice explanation.
