Need help to convert divx to mpeg

Hi all, i'm a newbie and i'm trying to convert a file DivX in an Mpeg2
The result is excellent for me but i have this problem:
the output file is 1.9GB then i need to cut it in two pieces...

I read all the info on the site and try all the programs, but i have always the same problem, the second part of the movie is out of synch....
What can i do? I try to synch it reading the info here and d/l all the software around but i can't make a good job!

Why my avi2mpg2 give me an error and i cannot use it?

What program did you use to convert the DivX to MPEG and was the entire movie in sync after the conversion?

If the entire movie was in sync and the sync problems resulted only from the process of spliting it into parts, I suggest trying TMPGenc's tools to split your MPEG file into parts.

I used tmpGenc to convert it but the same program give me an error when i try to cut it...

Yes it's perfect after conversion then i really don't know how to do...
