Strange Problem with avi ---- mpg withTMPGEnc!

I know! Everytime the same!
I have a avi-File which is working perfectly with my Win Media Player. But when I try to encode it (no matter with what software ever), the result is always the same:
NO PICTURE - ONLY SOUND. It just shows black screen on TMPEG while "encoding".
I`ve already downloaded all DIVX- and MPEG 4-Codecs, but it`s NOT WORKING!

Fast help will be regarded!

the problem probably is that your avi file isn´t a divx avi
it´s possible a *.raw
try to install nimopack codecs or krystalpack or others
one of the best sites to look is CHIZZIL.

But would it - in this case - run perfectly on my Media Player. Cause the problem appears only at encoding, not when I watch the avi-file on my PC.

Found out, that it is in fact a avi which was converted with FMI. Does that change anything!
