-= Is there anyway to keep a Still Picture's ratio? =-

is there anyway to keep a still pictures ratio when importing into a program such as uleads mediastudio 6.5? i have uleads dvd pictureshow, but i don't like the fact that there are no transitions and you can't add moving text. with mediastudio i can add transitions and moving text, but i can't seem to keep the picture's original ratio.

anyone know how i can keep the ratio? or a progam that will allow me to burn to dvd-r with my dvd burner that also allows transitions? thanks for any help

The only way I found of doing this was to use paintshop pro to add black borders to either the sides or top and bottom to get a picture aspect ratio of 4:3. Quite time consuming but does the job.

Just thought I'd let everyone know that i found out how to keep the original ratio of an imported jpeg/bmp file. since i've seen this question asked a couple of times before, and since i was also wondering until recently... i decided to post what i learned last night. i have both adobe premiere 6 and ulead new videostudio 6. they both have the option after the still image has been imported to "keep the original ratio". once this is selected, the picture is shown without distortion and nothing is cut off. of course there are either black bars on the sides or the top, but now you can make amazing slideshows with awsome transitions and music.

i also have ulead dvd pictureshow, and although that's a very, very simple and easy program to use... it doesn't allow you to make very interesting slideshows. so i thought i'd share my info and let people know that's there is an alternative. peace
