I have a video file that is full screen. I convert it with convertxtodvd. Then I use pgcedit v8.6 to try locking the picture or aspect ratio so it doesn't overscan on my tv when I play the dvd on my dvd player. I try playing the dvd on my dvd player but it still overscans. I have no problem using this program to lock the picture with video files that aren't full screen. They don't overscan on my dvd player, only when I'm dealing with full screen videos.

I clicked on the right file on the left hand column. Then went to Domain Streams Attributes and clicked on the box "4:3" I tried burning the dvd files to a dvd and the picture was overscanning on the tv. I tried going back to the program and clicking "Source Picture Letterboxed" next to the checked "4:3" box but it was still overscanning.

I've tried this on different full screen videos and they're all giving me the same results. Anyway to stop these full screen videos from overscanning?

No, not using PGCEdit. It doesn't do anything for your widescreen DVDs either, except maybe to mess up the aspect ratio. The only way to allow for the overscan is when you're encoding it, by adding black bars around the video (not a good idea in my opinion). Or get a TV set that doesn't overscan.

The movies I burn using pgcedit after using convertxtodvd come out perfect to me without any overscan. Except the ones that are full screen though.

PGCEdit cannot change the video. What it can do is correct bad authoring that has incorrectly set a 16:9 video to 4:3, for example. In that case you may think you are seeing overscan compensation, but what you are really seeing is just widescreen displayed correctly as widescreen.

If the material is 4:3 then all you can do is add borders when you encode. You can do this in ConvertXtoDVD.

However, whatever it is that you think you are doing in PGCEdit, you are not. It is simply not possible.
