VDubMod doesn't open individually and also in other programmes

I had VirtualDubMod 1_5_10_3 and 2. They worked individually and also in other included programmes. I read somewhere that it can't be dragged but can be copied by cut and paste method to other programmes/folders. I did so. Now, it doesn't open in any of the programmes. I deleted all, downloaded fresh. The same condition prevails. Can someone help me.

Did you copy the entire VDM folder or just VDM.exe? I don't think the .exe file will run by itself without some of the other files that are in the VDM folder. But a shortcut of the VDM.exe from the original folder may work. Not sure what you are trying to do.

Yeah, VirtualDubMod is quite dependent upon all of its files and subfolders.

Sorry, I did copy and paste only into another program which requires VDubMod.

Actually, I did copy and paste only and NOT cut and paste. I copied .exe file with other files into another program in a different folder. Since then, when I double clicked the .exe file, it doesn't execute both in copied from and copied to folders. Then, I deleted all and downloaded afresh pack, unzipped and tried to open the .exe file. Nothing opens. Shortcut of the VDM exe from the original folder also doesn't work.

Thank you, jagabo. I am a Newbie and don't know about Registry entries and like. Could you please elaborate the procedure step by step so as to enable me the result without any lapse in between.

Yes, I did as you said. Restarted the system. Double clicked the VDM .exe. Licence agreement screen opened. Clicked the "OK" highlighted ikon. I thought the VDM will open. But, nothing happened.

Anyway, I again opened the Registry to see what happened. Here is the screenshot :



Can you please instruct me the next step.

I un-installed the Avisynth along with plug-ins totally from directories. Deleted VDM also. Installed them only in the root directory. Now everything works perfectly. When I did some exercises in DivxMediaBuilder, where avisynth and vdm are functionaries, some problem might have caused. Now, the problem is solved and VirtualDubMod works individually and also in other programmes.
