Can any dvd players read photo files (jpg or others) like they do with mp3 files?
Thanks

You may be very interested in my new post......
there is a brand new JVC model that indeed does EXACTLY what you ask about.........
it is the XV-S500BK
this is the model number in Canada though.
if you go to www.jvc.ca you can see it as one of the models listed.
Futureshop.ca ( www.futureshop.ca ) has just begun selling the model
300....... XV-s300 and is going for $229 I think ? .... I was on the site last night but can't recall....... this is a new model they are selling , so I wonder if it will be a long wait before the 500 shows up.

Or you can get the APEX 1100w from Wally World for $70.00 that plays everything.

WallyWorld ( Wallmart) doesn't sell Apex DVD players, I'm about 99% sure of it.
I'm guessing U R in the States also, with a price of $70 .
For $70 here in Canada you can buy a hamburger and fries, that's about it -
Most players should if you burn in iso9660 format and closed session
(disk-at-once). -

It depends on the program generating it, I don't know if burning the jpeg's directly (outside of the VCD folder layout) will work on many models, andI can tell you that the slideshows that NERO puts out are flaky.
Good luck! -
