I have a weird problem where my DVD Player only plays the last .VOB file from a burnt DVD. The DVD plays perfectly from the start in my computer. I have recently reformated and am now using Nero8 instead of Nero7 and DVD Shrink on an XP system.
It seems i have no shortage of coffee coasters now.... Please help!!!

Did you create (Convert and author) those problem DVDs or are they commercial DVDs that you've ripped? Sounds like an authoring problem. You might try a different program to author to DVD specifications.

I am burning VideoTS files previously generated by DVD shrink that have worked before using Nero 7.
I had to reformat my computer and now i am using Nero 8 without any success. I have just tried to DVD burnt from the exact same VideoTS files using Roxio Easy Media Creator 8 and it successfully played on my dvd player...
Looks like Nero 8 is the culprit
Would there be some setting change in nero 8 that may be incorrect? If al else fails i will revert back to Nero7.
Thanks fr your quick response and welcome the forum. -
Double whammy. Ripping software that has not been updated since 2004....and burning with Nero.
Use DVDFabDecrypter, then DVDShrink(if necessary) and burn with ImgBurn to Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden or other quality discs.
