Mac users are painfully aware that tools for ripping and backing-up BluRays just don't exist for the Mac OS. However, anyone with a modern Intel-based Mac has the option of installing and running Windows, so they might be trolling over here looking for tips on pursuing that option.
I know I did, and I found that AnyDVD HD works fine on a Mac to rip a BluRay to a folder or a disk image. However, my attempts to run BDRebuilder were ugly and unsuccessful, meaning I could only back up the small percentage of my BluRays that were SL BD 25 disks.
Last week, I had too much time on my hands and made another stab at getting BD Rebuilder to work, this time successfully! I've posted all the details over in the Mac forum. It will take some time to get it set up right, but if you have a Mac with more than one Hard drive, you CAN make compressed and feature-only backups of BluRays on it.
