It's stupid shit for stupid people. . . .why pay $40+shipping for the same type of software you can get right here for FREE? I really think there still are people out there who don't know the difference between a DVD and a CD. . . just becuase they look the same (a silver 12cm disc) does not mean they are the same, as we all know (700MB/740nm compared to 4700MB/650nm for a single sided, single layer DVD). Your average dummy who would buy such a product likely believes that he/she puts the DVD in one tray, a blank CD-R in the burner drive, and the whole movie will copy onto one CD without any work, much the same as copying a music CD. I wonder what they think when they realize a movie has to be put on 2-3 CD's!!! In the US it is technically illegal to copy DVD's to begin with (hence the copy protection), so the illegality of such a product should immediately make people realize that it is a scam.

  4. Well, me and a few mates were all stupid then. It gives you freeware programs, plus a very basic guide on how to use them. However, we knew the size of a DVDr and a CD-R, and are by no means idiots. It gave us a start on using the programs, and has led us to experiment. If it hadn't been for that, we probably wouldn't have had the patience to start. With all the newbie guides & forum ideas on this site, it can be very daunting to the real newbie. Between 4 of us the price wasn't so bad, and I still don't regret buying it. However, if I'd read this post I probably wouldn't have bought it. But videoguy, if you had put something in your post to help us newbies, some real information on how to rip & encode, that would have helped.
