Sorry if this is a naive question from a noob but I've spent many hours capturing home DV movies in iMovie 09 which I plan to store and also edit into home movies for the relatives. But I just upgraded to Final Cut Express and I am wondering if I should recapture the movies in FCE for longterm archiving. Is there a way to preserve maximal video quality for posterity in FCE that is better than the automatic high quality capture settings in iMovie 09?
(I have just started to RTFM, but I guess I am a bit impatient to get some advice)
TIA
