I want to cut off some of the ending credits of some DIVX movies to fit them on a CDR. They are about 715,000 roughly maybe a little more. I have downloaded VitrualDub 1.4.9 and i go to file and open ex. Movie1.avi then when i go to play the actual file with the buttons on the bottom i hear audio but see no video !!! This would make it very hard to decide what parts to edit out of the film. I'm not sure if one of the settings is wrong or not turned on/off properly and was hoping someone could assist me with this problem? I just need to ber able to preview the movie as well as hear it, i thought this was possible? Thank you

hi there,
May sound stupid, but can you view the movie normally.
Only, virtual dub uses the codecs available.
I have heard this problem before.
You may want to look at avisynth. It's very powerful, although you need to put some reading time in.
also try a google search on usenet groups. I also see a lot of answers to probs here. -
Thank you for your advice. Yes the movies are able to be viewed by Media Player the newest version, or by Divx Playa. I will try to search the newsgroups with google, if you find anything else out i would greatly appreciate the extra help...
