I just installed VirtualDub and no matter which AVI file I try to open, I get the following error:
"Couldn't locate decompressor for the format"XVID" (unknown)
VirtualDub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video. DirectShow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player, by not suitable."
Can anybody guide me as to what I may have to install or options to choose such that I can open AVI files. What I am trying to do is merge two AVI files.
