Trying to use 624x352 PAL xvid assets to make a svcd dvd. I use the default settings - when it finishes, I have a video with black borders all around it - top, bottom, left, and right. I want it to stretch to the left and right sides and crop the top/bottom or add borders up or down. How do I get SVCD2DVD to do that? Its been a couple years or so since I used SVCD2DVD, so I might have forgotten something in my workflow. Target display device is a 4:3 tv set, if that makes a difference.

Half way down this thread is a mini-guide how to use FitCD:

It may help you calculate where you want to go.
The xvid source seems to be 1.77 to 1 which is 16x9 so my guess is you need the output to be letterboxed to use with your TV. I would check because 4:3 TVs in the last few years, even SD resolution ones, sometimes come with a 16x9 mode. The picture is compressed so that 16x9 video looks correct and it's also a bit better quality than letterboxing.http://milesaheadsoftware.org/
