Hi, does anyone here know how to merge an audio file with a video that already has audio on VirtualDub? like putting in background music to a clip or something? also I would like to know how to open WMV files on VirtualDub. Thanks!

for wmv, get the vdub wmv plugin, I think it's listed in a plugin pack from this site if you click on the vdub hotlink

for audio, if you just want to swap the audio, audio=>audio from other file or use another program like avimux_gui

If you were referring to multitrack editing, you have to use dedicated audio software to mix tracks. You might demux the audio, an use an audio editor like audacity, then you could remux the audio back

You need something like windows movie maker(see http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/Tutorials/HowToAudioTracks.aspx ) or other advanced non-linear video editors where you can have several audio tracks that you can easily merge.

  4. VirtualDubMod will let you add several audio tracks. It won't open WMV files (directly) though. You would have to convert to AVI first, then use VirtualDubMod to add all the audio tracks.

  6. I misread the first post and didn't realize the OP wants to mix audio.
