Hi,
I have a laptop that has a DVD player. I was wondering if there is any software through which I can play VCD. I know I can simply go to the file in the CD and start it manually like that. I was wondering if there is a software that will detect that there is a VCD in the DVD player and automatically play it.
I hope I did not confuse anybody.
Thanks.

Have you just tried it?
With PowerDVD, once you've loaded up the program all you need to do is to insert the VCD and it will start playing (properly -- i.e., with menus).
Even if it doesn't autoplay, all that is required is for you to press the "play" button.
