Divx files with Bad Frames

I have two divx files that I was going to join together but while carrying out the process I was informed by VirtualDub that I had some bad frames so I was wondering how you go abouty fixing a problem like this.

Vdub 1.49 has Video > Scan Video streams for errors

Also there is a hacked Vdub called "vdub-mp3-freeze.exe" which makes a log of the bad frames, this then can be used to delete the bad frames (At key frames)

After you have used VirtualDub to scan the video stream for errors, what do you do?

Well to tell you the truth I always use "vdub-mp3-freeze.exe", but have not had any bad frames for a while, meanwhile Vdub has included this and I have not been able to try it

I know it gives a report at the bottom of its screen, so I'm guessing it tells you where the bad frames are, If it does not make a log of them...

VirtualDub never puts JUNK chunks in any AVI file it creates, so the solution is to turn off all processing:


· Set the video processing mode to Direct Stream Copy.
· Set the audio processing mode to Direct Stream Copy.
· Open the source file, and save to the output file.

Audio interleaving options work in this mode, and video range selection works to the nearest key frame, so you can re-interleave or trim off ends at the same time.

So you just save a new copy ?
