I exported a project to MPG from my video editor (Magix Movie Edit Pro 16 Plus) using HD settings (1920 x 1080). It plays OK in most of my usual players but in VideoRedo it doesn't. It 'stutters' and jerks. Sometimes it display an entirely green screen at the start and won't play ay all. Similar behaviour in both PowerDVD. Does this ring any bells with anyone please?
In case it helps, MediaInfo includes the following:

Bells yes.
To edit video with a resolution at 1920 x 1080 can be done but what your asking of your current systems setup is too much ... it's simply not fast enough.
Time to upgrade. -
Thanks both.
I noted that 'old' players like Media Player Classic (MPC) played these high res MPGs fine. So I assumed VideoRedo would do so too. But if that (and PowerDVD) are designed exclusively for SD not HD then it is indeed sort of obvious!
So do more recent versions of VideoRedo and PowerDVD handle HD DVD? Is that what you mean by 'time to upgrade'?
