Files that won't play properly in WMP or after conversion

I've got video files which claim to be encoded as follows:

Video: h264 300kbps 512x384 23.976 fps
Audio: AC-3 32000Hz 96 kbps Mono
Filesize: ~60MB

If I try and watch them in Windows Media Player, it will only play the sound. My main aim is to convert them to watch through my Xbox 360. If I convert the files using Videora, it will play the sound at normal speed, by the audio at double speed causing a loss of synchronisation. Does anyone have idea of how I can fix this problem.
