  1. I have a weird question; i got a new computer an AMD athlonXP 1600+ with 256DDR ram and Radeon 8500 when i convert movies to SVCD it seems that it is taking a while to encode the movies about 15 hours to enode a svcd i am only using

    Noise Reduction filter
    CBR 1150bits avg
    motion percision high quality
    4:3 aspect ratio NTSC

under Quantize matrix i have checked
Output YUV data as basic YCbCr
    Use Floating Point DCT
No motion search for still picture

i asked a friend of mine that has the same porcessor and he can do a svcd just under 9 hours but i'm taking 15 hours is this normal or is something wrong with my computer?
