  1. Hi, I'm looking for someone to point me into the right direction for converting my Hauppage HD-PVR 1212 TS files to Xvid format. The programs I'm recording are in SD format (though recorded in TS in HD), so I'd like to compress them into standard 4:3 (512x368) format and be able to compress the file size as well (to save space). I've tried various converters but haven't found anything that works the way I want without different problems. Any help to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. My mediainfo log is below:

The mediainfo output you have there is definitely HD 1080 16:9, so if you want 4:3 output you are going to have to crop the ends off the frame or letterbox the image.

Xvid4PSP should be able to do what you want, but it is a big resize down, so it could take a while to process.
