    I am trying to convert a mov file in TMPGEnc and the resulting video has the audio track but the video is a black screen.
    Do I need a specific codec? TMPGEnc handled other mov files for me in the past...

    Easiest would be to try convert with another converter, either directly to mpg or to avi and then to mpg with tmpgenc. Try xmedia recode, mpeg streamclip, mp4camto2avi.

    Looks like mpeg2 (HDV) in mov container.
    Here it is recommended to unpack the video stream and rename it to .m2v:

    I think you can use YAMB GUI instead of pure mp4box. Then unpack audio (without 'raw' setting). Optionally you can use DGIndex/AviSynth for indexing m2v video stream.
