  1. Hi everyone,
I have this idx/sub file that I made, using AViAddXSubs, and the colors are crappy and I want to change them.
I've tried VobSub configure: Loaded the idx file, checked the 'custom colors' and 'save settings..' changed the colors then OK. Now when I play the video, using VLC, it displays the old colors-the crappy ones.
So what I'm supposed to do?

    Thanks !

  3. I specified idx/sub format. Seems like those two don't support this format!

    Thanks for trying to help.

I think the only thing you can do is convert to .sup using SubToSup. Then you can load the .sup into DVDSubEdit and change the palette. The thing is, if the video encoder you use eventually doesn't support the .ifo that goes with the .sup you end up with the same neon looking color scheme. If you are converting to DVD then after the dvd is complete you can use DVDSubEdit to change the color palette. Sometimes that's the easiest way. Some tools like BDSup2Sub will export the color palette values along with the .ifo and .sup files. After you load into DVDSubEdit you can just import that text file to set the palette instead of doing it manually.

If the output type isn't DVD then I don't know what to advise.

  5. Thank you all for the help. Problem has been solved.
All I had to do is reading well the guide; using AviAddXSubsm I disabled the YUV Colors option and then generated the idx/sub files, and they were just what I wanted.
    Thanks again guys!

  6. Thanks for posting the solution. Maybe now I can avoid neon colors too.
