First post here guys,
After making the 2nd pass, do I just keep going thru the deshaker steps using pass 2
Seems like the original is always on the left pane
Or should I save the processed video and then de-shake/save/import it over and over
I have a lot to learn and I don't care if I ruin this test run
Taken with a Lumix DMC-FP3 http://panasonic.net/avc/lumix/compact/fp3_fp2_fp1/lens.html#consecutive_shooting

Multiple de-shakes will just layer artifacts and blurriness.
You would need to work first on camera stabilization and camera frame rate settings*. Explain how this camera is being attached to the RC copter?
News copters first used mechanical springs and then fluid damping. Then they moved on to gyro stabilization.
* The spec sheet shows all resolution settings use fixed 30 fps. I'm assuming you are using max bit rate.

Interesting need for Deshaker. I use Deshaker a lot, but you could experiment forever with Deshaker settings and not get as far as you could by directly asking Gunnar for some assistance. I'm sure he'd be happy to offer some setting suggestions. Be sure to send him that neat photo of the helicopter! You know where to find him - http://www.guthspot.se/video/deshaker.htm

I once worked for the engineer that did the first live TV helicopter shoot. When I go to NAB I like to check out the latest in news choppers. The idea is to isolate the camera from high frequency vibration and minor chopper directional changes. The gyro system works great for this. The top camera tech company for TV, film, military and police applications is FLIR.
