  1. I useing studio since Version 8 and use it for a business that I run and currently use studio 11. Up until now I have been making wmv files in a way that takes forever. My question is I us a DV camcorder and Studio picks up and sees each scene when I capture video from my camera as well as other programs such as ulead, vegas, and adobe. Is there a way to have studio or any program to automaticly create a individual wmv file for each scene in a given video file that i have captured. Up until now i have been dragging a single scene into the timeline then making wmv video file then back and do the next scene. I use the video files on a website and sometimes the original video might contain 100 to 200 scenes so as you might imagen it takes forever.

Is there anyway of doing this or am i stuck spending forever and a day doing it this way? Is there any video editing program that would do this i do have all major programs and not sure if it is possible in any of them.

I usually use wmv files but can and would be willing to change to a different output format if need be.

Any ideas and or help is appriciated.

  2. Microsoft's Windows Media Encoder can batch encode AVI files to WMV.

There's a very recent thread (last few days) on this forum that discusses this:

  3. I have not tried out what you have suggested yet but is a good idea and sounds useful even if it does not work for my problem. The problem is I don't think this will work for me since I am talking about a single video file. When you capture in Vegas, Stufio, Ulead or Adobe you are left with a large single file which depending on the program will split into scenes with in the program so editing is easier. With miniDV every time you stop recording with the camera and starts again it creates a scene. I am looking for a way for the program that I use to capture to make each scene into a video file weather it be wmv, flash or other. Or if there is a program that can detect scenes within a video file and split it automatically. The more I look the more I doubt there is anything that can do this.

Just wounder how the porn sites do it lol. I can't believe they sit there and do each video file one by one.
